FIRST FRIDAYS: “HOME -GROWN AT THE PEMBER”
In the third monthly “First Fridays: Home-Grown at the Pember,” at the Pember Library and Museum in Granville, New York the event gets even bigger, with music and artists.
Showing at the Pember this month is Marion Waldo McChesney, of Pawlet, an internationally known ceramicist, widely celebrated for her “Roadkill Impressionism” as well as graceful, organic forms.
Also showing is Erika Schmidt who creates works on paper and assemblage, including sculpture, fans and collage. Erika is also a gifted choreographer and performance artists and she will be presenting a piece this evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
There will be local craftspeople, including the Lampshade Lady, Judy Lake.

The Pember event opens the first Friday night of every month and features artists, artisans or craftspeople working in any medium. All entries are juried by the Pember First Friday Committee before being accepted for a First Friday show. All shows will be up for the month.
